Our Story

The Works Catering has its roots in Eagles Coffee Grounds, a cozy café operated on the Squamish River.

After a few years of running the café, Mara decided to close it, yet many clients still wanted catering for their events. Mara had enjoyed catering, and this led her to take the Event Management program at Capilano College, where she developed a love for organizing, decorating and entertaining, especially for occasions like Weddings, Parties, Halloween and Christmas events

In 2004, Mara teamed up with Sasha, who had managed the café, and together they launched The Works Catering Company.

Since then, they have catered events ranging from intimate gatherings of 12 to large celebrations with up to 350 guests.

Their experience spans from weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and meaningful cultural events such as namings, memorials, and mask dance ceremonies.

Whether it’s a holiday party or a special cultural tradition, The Works Catering Company is committed to creating memorable experiences throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor.
